CTR UK LTD is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights.

What we collect

Your name, phone number and email address when you contact us or book online.
Vehicle registration numbers you provide for MOT reminders or bookings.
Anything you submit through the forms on this website.

How we use it

We use your data to answer enquiries, arrange bookings and reminders, and to run the garage. We do not sell your data to anyone.

Website analytics — only if you agree

If you accept optional cookies, we use two tools to understand how this website is used. If you decline, neither one runs and nothing in this section applies to you.

Google Analytics tells us how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found us. We do not use it for advertising, and advertising features are switched off.
Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used so we can find the parts that are hard to use. This includes session recording: mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and the pages visited during your visit are captured and can be replayed back to us, along with heatmaps showing where people click. It records your interaction with the page, not your camera, microphone or screen, and we use it to improve the website rather than to identify anyone.

Both send data to their providers — Google and Microsoft respectively — who act as processors for us. Neither runs until you accept, and you can withdraw at any time using Cookie Settings at the bottom of any page. Our Cookie Policy explains the cookies involved.

Please avoid typing sensitive information into forms on any website you would not want recorded. Where we can, we ask these tools to mask what you type.

Who we share it with

We share data only where we need to in order to provide our services — for example with the DVSA for MOT tests and MOT history, our email and text message providers for sending reminders, and the analytics providers named above where you have agreed. We also share data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as we need them to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. Records of cookie choices are kept so we can show that permission was given; they hold a random identifier for your browser and no name or address.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, object to how we use it, or withdraw your agreement to analytics at any time. Email ctrukltd@gmail.com or call 01526 323999. If you are not happy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
